You know we adore Friendship Bracelets.and we particularly love the Ebook composed by Artesannia with a very simple formula to create Friendship Bracelets with any design or pattern. If you still don’t have it, grab yours here.
We have been making Valentine’s Day Bracelets for a few years now and we continue to keep coming back to them. The idea is unique and the heart pattern is ideal for Valentine’s Day.
Here we will show the most basic blueprint — which is also the EASIEST Valentine’s Day Friendship Bracelet to make for kids or beginners. Nevertheless, if you wish to get really clever, you can weave in more complicated patterns, adding charms and everything… however, a few people think that’s better save it to more experienced handcrafters on friendship bracelet making abilities.
Valentine’s Day Friendship Bracelets
– Yarn in Valentine’s colors (or your Friend’s favorite colors!)
– Safety pins or tape
The way to do it:
Cut 4 strands approximately 70 centimeters per day, two of each color. Fold strings in half forming a knotted loop with 8 strings. We might arrange every series on the paperboard with altering colors. The order is one black series, one red series, one black series, one red string and one red series, one black series, one red string, and one black series: a total of 8 strings.
We begin with the V pattern also known as the chevron design. The first thread on the left begins by making double knots on 3 consecutive strings. Then we do the exact same on the right side. When the two black strings arrive at the middle, double knot them together. Here’s our first V. We continue the same with the next row starting with the red string to create 2 Vs, one black and one red. Remember to always double knot!
Now we’re ready to create the hearts … We take the second series on the left (red) and this time we knot on the black series towards the left (always double knots!). With the second series on the left (black) we double knot on two consecutive strings. Then we do the exact same on the right side.
When two black strings arrive at the center we double knot them together. Here is the top part of the heart.
We continue the same pits in the next row. We take the second series on the left (black) and this time around we knot twice on the red string to the left side. With the second series on the left (red) we double knot on two consecutive strings. Then we do the exact same on the right side. When both reddish strings arrive in the middle we double knot the two red strings.
Now repeat the 4 rows from the beginning starting again with the chevron V stitch! With a little patience, after a few minutes, you will have a gorgeous heart friendship bracelet that’s relatively easy to make. Before you know it you’ll be able to make these heart bracelets without even following the images!
